Ladder Regulations/declaration of conformity

As from the 21st July 2011 all ladders sold to or purchased by European Registrered Vessels require to be manufactured to BS ISO 799:2004 MED Annex A. 1/4.49. Previous IMO Instruments did not include specific requirements for prototype and component testing. This is deemed necessary to ensure conformity and performance.
Ladders to these requrements must bear the Ship Wheel Mark and come with a declaration of conformity.
